This is a short AI film I made in under 4 hours. It was for a competition where we had to make something in 48 hours. Work and life got in the way, so I had less than 4 hours.
The creative process was intense and exhilarating. Working under such tight constraints forced me to make quick decisions and trust my instincts. I used various AI tools to generate the visual elements, working with generative models to create the atmospheric scenes you see in the film.
The Challenge
The competition brief was simple: create something meaningful in 48 hours. But life, as it often does, had other plans. Between work commitments and personal obligations, my 48-hour window suddenly became a mere 4-hour sprint.
The Process
With such limited time, I had to be strategic:
- Concept First: I spent the first 30 minutes outlining the story
- AI Generation: Used Midjourney and Stable Diffusion for visuals
- Assembly: Brought everything together in post-production
- Sound Design: Added atmospheric audio to enhance the mood
The Result
Despite the time constraints, I’m proud of what I managed to create. The film explores themes of hidden depths and the unknown, using AI-generated imagery to create a haunting underwater world.
The experience taught me valuable lessons about working under pressure and the importance of having a clear vision when time is limited.
